Friendly, reliable, one‑on‑one dog walking — right here in Irvine.
My name is Ben. I recently retired as a Special Education School Teacher. My wife and I have lived in Irvine for almost 40 years. My kids graduated from Irvine schools and all completed undergraduate degrees from UC system schools.
My family has always been a participant in community activities. I have been fortunate to coach my kids' baseball, softball, and soccer teams.
I often joke with people about what I do after retirement and say "I pick up poop." My service includes a positive experience for your dog. I build a relationship and carry out my duties professionally.
I give them a minimum of 25 minutes of exercise. Usually a treat is included (if owners allow). Yes, I pick up the poop and make sure they have water in their bowl.
I occasionally have an owner that does an overnight trip and provide an evening walk, dinner, and then a morning walk and breakfast. I do not board dogs. I do not train dogs. I text upon completion of the walk and communicate if there are issues.
I do have a few guidelines and selection for walking dogs. I have had to turn away a couple of dogs that were too aggressive or may bite. My first walk is with you, the owner. I find out if we are a good fit.
Trust is a big deal to me. I have to trust your dog is walkable, healthy, and happy. You have to trust I am going to do everything I am hired to do.
I work solo and am the one to take on the task. I only work in Irvine. I only do solo dog walks (unless you have more than one dog). Your dog will get my undivided attention.
Although I believe I am the best dog walker in Irvine, I try to limit my dogs to 5–6 per day. Many of my clients work from home a couple of days then in the office a couple of days a week. This means I keep a client list of about 15 dogs each week I walk.
